Overview
Enjoy a panoramic view of the pearl of Indian Ocean for five nights by visiting the main Cultural & Heritage highlights of our tropical island. You can visit the cultural triangle area, the last Royal Kingdom Kandy, the nature and the hilly mountains in Nuwara Eliya & a Wild Park Safari, the island is famous for the wild parks and elephants. The Tour can be extended with a beach stay in Sri Lanka or combined with Maldives or with a short tour to South India.
Itinerary
- Meeting with Assistance at the Airport upon arrival by our Representative, later your tour chauffeur will pick you up at the Exit Gate of the arrival terminal to commence the Tour.
- You will leave to Cultural Triangle Region, en-route visit Negombo.
- Negombo is traditionally a Fishing Village with catamarans by the beach at the backdrop to the Negombo scenery; which later developed as a fishing marketing center.
- En-route visit Dambulla. Ancient Dambulla cave complex also known as the Golden Cave Temple. The area is also known for bird watching
- Minneriya Elephant Safari
- Overnight stay in the Cultural Triangle Region.
- Early Breakfast
- Visit the famous for its historical Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is over 1000 years old and has landscaped gardens, water fountains, a sanctuary and frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya and Sigiriya town.
- There after an excursion to Polonnaruwa where you will see many well-preserved ruins of palaces and monasteries. You will witness many brick structures and monuments, stone monuments, Temples, Lakes, and Pagodas improved by ancient Kings.
- Have Lunch
- Continue Polonnaruwa
- There after leave for Kandy. En route Nalanda Gedige the Abu Simbel of Sri Lanka. Nalanda Gedige is a remarkable archaeological site in Sri Lanka which features Buddhist – Hindu hybrid Architecture.

- PM, arrive at the hotel in Kandy, the last Kingdom of ancient Sri Lanka and the Royal Capital under the King’s Rule until the British Invasion in 1815.
- After Breakfast visit the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, well known for having the largest collection of orchids in Asia and other large variety of plants.
- There after leave for Pinnawala about one-hour drive from Kandy to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most popular attractions in Sri Lanka. It fosters the biggest herd of captive elephants in the world. Witness the elephants bathing in the nearby river in the morning and in the afternoon.
- On the way to Kandy, visit a spice garden and a batik factory in Kegalla
- In the evening you can view a Cultural Dance. Then visit the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka – the Temple of Tooth at the evening ceremony.
- Overnight stay in Kandy.
- After Breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya – the centre of the hill country. Enjoy a plenty of eye-catching and heart-touching places and spend the evening walking in the cool climate.
- After Lunch travel to the Horton Plains Nature Reserve and embark on a guided tour with a resident naturalist guide. It is home to species like the sambar, leopards and the endemic purple-faced langur here. This is a National Park in Sri Lanka in which visitors are allowed to walk & vehicles are not allowed inside the reserve. At the ’Worlds End’ the 2000 meters plateau comes to an abrupt end, plunging 700-1000 meters to the valley floor.
- Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.
- After breakfast leave for Colombo through misty mountain routes. You can view waterfalls as well as landscapes with tea plantations and other vegetation via Kitulgala.
- Kithulgala White water rafting in the river (minimum 2 persons are required & make direct payment cost around USD 15 per person).
- Relax at the beach hotel, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
- After breakfast visit the Turtle Hatchery
- Then transfer to the airport for departure or extend your visit with a beach stay. Check out 12h00

Common Expenses
All entrance fees as per program to be paid directly only in Sri Lankan Rupees and it will cost around USD 140 per person. (Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Minneriya / Dambulla / Nalanda Gedige / Kandy Temple / Peradeniya / Pinnawala)
Please change foreign currency in to SLRS at the airport after customs, there are many 24hrs bank counters at the airport as all these payments have to be made only in SLRS. No credit card payments are accepted at these sites. Subject to change slightly sometimes details are provided with rates as applicable at the moment. (Children under 12 years will be charged half rate 50%)
To view the Kandy Perahara procession in the night seats can be purchased directly (payment direct) or stand by the road side like the Sri Lankan’s & enjoy the view of the procession.
If required we can modify the program to have the last night in a beach hotel south of Colombo or in Negombo then proceed to the airport. Any other modifications to the program can be arranged as per individual preferences.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the reservations which has to be acknowledged by our company in writing. If the cancellation is made 44 days before the first date of the reservation we will retain your 1st small deposit to cover our costs. If the cancellation is notified less than 44 days prior to the first date of reservation following additional cancellation charges will apply.

Travel Information
Sri Lanka Visa charges USD 35 per person for NON SAARC countries & for SAARC countries USD 20 per person, can be obtained directly via the internet please visit this site. http://www.eta.gov.lk/. The process is very simple payments can be paid online & with the confirmation document print out & code you have to submit passport on arrival only. The passport has to be valid for six months from the day of arrival return air tickets & sufficient funds or reservations arranged for the holiday should be with you. All nationals have to obtain a visit / tourist visa prior to arrival (Visas are not issued on arrival)
