If you are visiting the Island for a few days & would like to have a glimpse of Sri Lanka this would be the ideal tour. Cultural highlights of Sri Lanka with a visit to some of the royal cities in the cultural triangle. The tour is ideal as you can cover important historical places in a short amount of time. Extend the tour with a Beach Stay for a few nights in Sri Lanka either at the East Coast, South Coast or West Coast. Optionally as a Combine tour with an Extension to Maldives, other South Asian countries as South India, North India with relatively short flight travelling from Sri Lanka.
Itinerary
- Meeting with Assistance at the Airport upon arrival by our Representative, later your tour chauffeur will pick you up at the Exit Gate of the arrival terminal to commence the Tour.
- Leave to Sigiriya, Sigiriya town is famous for its historical Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is over 1000 years old and has landscaped gardens, water fountains, a sanctuary and frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya. Enroute Dambulla. The ancient Dambulla Goldern Temple and cave complex dates back to the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C. The area is also known for bird watching. Proceed to Sigiriya Check in at the hotel and refresh.
- Minneriya Elephant Safari
- After Early breakfast climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. There after you will leave to Kandy, En route visitory Spice Gardens, Batik Factory. Drop by in Matale Alu Vihare. Later arrive in Kandy –the Royal Capital of Sri Lanka under the King’s Rule until the British Invasion in 1815. It is also known as the centre of traditional arts in Sri Lanka. Then visit the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka – the Temple of Tooth at the evening ceremony. Visit the Kandy Museum and Kandyan Dancing. The Kandy Temple was earlier the Royal Palace of the King and the Queens Quarters has been located in the present Museum, these buildings features the Kandyan Architecture. Overnight stay in Kandy.
- After breakfast visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is best known for having the largest collection of orchids in Asia and many other varieties of plants.
- Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most popular attractions in Sri Lanka. It fosters the biggest herd of captive elephants in the world. Witness the elephants bathing in the nearby river in the morning and in the afternoon.
- There after travel to Nuwaraeliya Enroute Ambuluwawa Tower
- Visit Tea Factories and pass Tea estates and reach Kitulgala for Lunch. If time permits you have an option of going white water rafting in the river (minimum 2 persons are required & make direct payment – USD 20 per person).
- There after head for the departure flight. You will reach the airport 3 hours before time of departure.

Common Expenses
All entrance fees as per program to be paid directly in Sri Lanka Rupees and it will cost around USD 110 per person. Sites/visits as per the program. (Pinnawala / Kandy Museum / Kandy temple / Peradeniya / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya / Dambulla) Please change foreign currency in to SLRS at the airport after customs, there are many 24hrs bank counters at the airport as all these payments have to be made only in SLRS. No credit card payments are accepted at these sites. Subject to change slightly sometimes details are provided with rates as applicable at the moment. (Children under 12 years will be charged half rate 50%)
For Reservations during, Super Peak Period – 20th December 2020 to 10h January 2021 period please contact us for further details. As Peak supplements apply at hotels during this period & this will change according to the category of hotels and actual days of stay at each hotel.
If required we can modify the program to have the last night in a beach hotel south of Colombo or in Negombo then proceed to the airport. Any other modifications to the program can be arranged as per individual preferences.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the reservations which has to be acknowledged by our company in writing. If the cancellation is made 15 days before the first date of the reservation we will retain your 1st small deposit to cover our costs. If the cancellation is notified less than 15 days prior to the first date of reservation following additional cancellation charges will apply.

- All rates quoted are in US Dollars & net per person inclusive of all applicable taxes.
- Every two persons sharing a double or twin room at mentioned properties or similar.
- Welcomed at the airport by our representative.
- Check in & check out at 12h00.
- Three nights on half-board basis (breakfast & dinner) and ten nights on bed & breakfast basis (breakfast only).
- Air-conditioned private vehicle with an English speaking chauffeur will be provided (Private Tour).
- No vehicle will be provided on any free days if any (as per program).
- Fuel & local assurance for vehicle & passengers while travelling included.
- The chauffeur will look after his own meals & accommodation.
- Basic private Jeep to visit reserve included for half a day – (Entrance fees to be paid directly by clients at the reserve). If for any reason the mentioned reserve is closed, we shall make arrangements to visit another reserve.
- All entrance fees as per program to be paid directly only in Sri Lankan Rupees and it will cost around USD 150 per person. Please change foreign currency in to SLRS at the airport after customs (bank counters are open 24hrs at the airport). No credit card payments are accepted at historical sites. (Entrance fees are subject to change; rates are as applicable at the moment – Children under 12 years will be charged half the rate at some places.)
- Personal spending (tips, laundry, mini bar, telephone, fax, beverages etc.)
- The right to use video cameras at sites – most places will allow to use video cameras once the entrance fee is paid except at The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy & the Pinnawela Elephant orphanage (USD 05 per Video Camera per location).
- Medical expenses, travel insurance, international flights.
Travel Information
Sri Lanka Visa charges USD 35 per person for NON SAARC countries & for SAARC countries USD 20 per person, can be obtained directly via the internet please visit this site. http://www.eta.gov.lk/. The process is very simple payments can be paid online & with the confirmation document print out & code you have to submit passport on arrival only. The passport has to be valid for six months from the day of arrival return air tickets & sufficient funds or reservations arranged for the holiday should be with you. All nationals have to obtain a visit / tourist visa prior to arrival (Visas are not issued on arrival)
